5 Things We Want to See in 2013

Last week we released a video of me sharing some of our vision for 2013, but I was not able to cover our vision in full. There are 5 things we want to see in the coming year.

Pray with us as we seek to make Jesus unavoidable in the music industry and the culture at-large.

5 Things We Want to See in 2013

Reversal Discussions: These will be?low key & non-public events – only professional artists, those who support them (crew) and their families will be invited. The purpose is two-fold; 1) Evangelism – to present the Gospel clearly, 2) To encourage and challenge Christians to walk passionately with Jesus wherever they are. We have already reached out to several gifted communicators and have a lot of support from within the industry to create a space where this can happen. Our goal is to host 6 of these this year.

Downtown Space: This will serve as a dedicated office space throughout the week and provide a large meeting room for Tuesday nights and Reversal Discussions. We are kicking off the year with a Tuesday night teaching series called, ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’. We will discuss how we find our identity in Christ, studying Ephesians verse by verse.

***UPDATE (12/22/12): Milam picked up the keys to our new space yesterday! Things came together fast to make this happen and God answered a HUGE prayer of ours through a long-time friend. We will be located (not by accident) right beside Nashville’s historic live music venue Exit/In.

New Website: Since launching this site 2 years ago many things have changed and we’d like our website to reflect that. We want to build a site that serves our mission and communicates to artists how they can be a part of The Reversal (even if they’re away from Nashville).

Online Devotional: Available via YouTube and our website, 3 Days/Week. The purpose is to provide continuous teaching for The Reversal and the touring/creative community at-large, making it accessible anywhere/anytime. Starting in January we will post a 3 min video devotion M-W-F of every week. We will go through a chapter of the Bible a week – encouraging personal Bible study & reflection. This will take volunteer efforts (filming/editing) and purchasing some equipment to help us maintain quality and consistency.

Staff: In addition to Milam being full-time we are praying for 1 or 2 other missionaries called to this work, from within this community (past or present), to serve with us. Since beginning The Reversal 2 1/2 years ago we never saw it as a one-man mission. New staff, part-time or full-time, would offer much needed help with group leading, further outreach, the ability to minister on tours 3-4 days at a time and help administratively as we grow.
