Fear is crippling. Fear is destructive. Fear is everywhere.
We can be led by fear, followed by fear and defined by fear.
Much can be said on the subject, but I think we can all agree that fear plays a huge part in each of our lives. Sometimes it is visibly noticed by others but many times it is hidden deep within the caverns of our hearts. Yet, the most often repeated command in all of Scripture is “Do Not Fear.” God commands us not to fear (or be afraid) throughout the entire Bible, it is not simply a suggestion. This must be of significance, this must be more than a clever slogan. One thing that I’ve learned is that fear doesn’t always show its face in the way we expect – let me try to unpack that from my perspective.
